[How long was it this time? Over a day at least. Not as bad is it could have been, but it still hurt like hell. ...And still did, really. Didn't help that every ten minutes or so, a loud beeping noise from a cell phone announcing to the world there was a new voice mail. Every time it went off it made him cringe, which didn't help in the least with the constant pain. Could always go back to sleep... but no. So in those ten minute intervals of silence, he stayed on the futon lying on his one side, somewhat curled up on himself in a reflex to his nerves. One hand covering his right eye and staring blankly at how the skin on his other hand seemed a few shades grayer than usual. That's... not a good sign. Where was he anyway...?]
